A little too close to the spare if you ask me. Looks good though

 

Is it me or does that look awfully close to the spare tire?

I'd be worried about the heat messing up the rubber of the tire, maybe after a good drive use a thermometer gun to see how hot that pipe gets.

Yea mine came with the same type threads. I added some Loctite and it’s been very secure. You should be good

 

Got it. Upgrading the Taco's mirrors are on my "to-do" list, but I have Muth Mirrors with the arrow in the mirror on another truck and really like that I can see them, especially when I forget to turn them off after I've merged onto the freeway. I also like that vehicles behind and to the side of me can see them as well.

 

So it looks like it’s touching the tire from that pic but it’s far enough away from damaging the spare. I had the exact same setup with my ‘03 for over 13 years with no issues at all.

 

So…what do you have - cheesesteak or taco?

Sold my OEM rims and tires for $650, and spent the last few hours getting my GMRS radio installed again. Not sure about placement of the faceplate, might relocate it to one of the larger cupholders once my new one comes in. And starting to get my patch collection hung on the headliner again.
