I've got a 2018 tacoma. Check engine light came on I had it checked said it was crankshaft position sensor. That was in the morning drove around during the day and it went off. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Welcome to the forum. The CPS was an issue for the 16’s and some early 17’s, but Toyota figured out the problem. Of course newer ones can fail so if you are getting the code it’s a good idea to replace it before it goes totally out. If it dies the truck goes into limp mode which is enough to get you to the side of the road.

A weak battery can also cause this code. Is your battery original? Any slow cranks?

I replaced the battery a few years ago so I'll check it out.
