23 Electric Lime TRD OR 4x4
    Howdy yall,

So long story short, 2 years ago some idiot one block from my house side swiped my 21 TRD OR, broke the axle and mountings (and the entire drivetrain forward) and that ended up steering me into a ditch and a tree at speed. Truck saved my life or bad injury, complete total. Ended up with a Gladiator Mojave that was a lemon, and then a 5.0 Mustang. But my love was with the taco. So after some bad financial choices i'm back happy with a 23 electric lime taco.

    But onto the questions.

1st question, This truck ended up being a west coast truck (Arizona) purchased CPO with 9 miles on it after a dealership in San Antonio bought it in (I don't know why... they say they dont have trouble with GST but can't seem to keep tacos coming in). So i ended up with a brand new truck with a CPO warranty (whatever that is worth). The only thing this had on it that i haven't seen on any GST truck around Texas is chrome tail gate inserts with black vinyl on it. Is this a option out there? I know the black inserts have a toyota part # but haven't seen the chrome with black vinyl over the top before.

2nd question, and my more important question. For reasons know only to the ether, the truck only came with one key fob (supply chain problem i heard maybe?). The dealership only found this out AFTER i signed my paper work, but they said when the plates come in they'll get a key fob in (which they said they had done now) and program it. I don't really trust that they'll hold themselves to this, they were already a bit shady in the buying experience.

I have the old spare key fob from my original truck. That truck had less options than this one but still had all the remote start toyota stuff etc this one has. In a pinch, is it possible for toyota to reprogram the old fob to the new truck? Obviously the physical key wont work. My local service advisors wont give me a straight answer.

    Thanks y'all!

Check the numbers on both of your key FOBs, if they match, I believe you are all set. When the dealer or whomever does the programming be sure they delete the now lost FOB from the system.
IIRC my 2021 OR has a FOB with 14FBA.

Being that it's a 2023 model, most likely did not come with 2 fobs. My wife bought a 2023 Toyota Crown and we won't see the second fob until late summer. Then the dealer will have to program it for us.
