ECGS bushing for the front diff since you're lifting

try and stick with zero offset wheels; 17x8.5 with 285/70/17 tires is common

the shop is not recommending me to change any bushings or anything..said to do it when needed IF needed.. they claim thousands of tacomas lifted and no issue since the lift is barely 3""
i was even willing ot pay for the exrra labor

Those are heavy wheels; which tires? I like those billet camburg's, but have heard of a handful of instances where the uca hits the shock near the uniball due to the 1.25" size.

They claim it’s 37 lb each. And claim it’s “lightweight”

i hope I have no issues.

Interesting thing going on right now on the YouTube. Overland outfitters just started a new series blind testing suspension set ups, It's interesting so far.
Biggest thing I would suggest is keep that lift at 2" the drivibility is sooo much better.
Or better yet go rip the truck around stock for a bit enjoy it and decide what tire/lift combination fits your needs.
As mentioned above the clamshell "ecgs" bushing in the front diff is worth it gets rid of some of those phantom bad vibes thst come along with a lift especially if you go to 3".

the shop recommended me not to. Not sure why. The truck has 2k miles and they said I woudlnt have that issue as long as I don’t exceed the 3inch. But I think the fox only gives about 2.5

Also. He said he can add a leaf. Or sell me a OME leaf pack. Any suggestions?

It's just a inherent design flaw with the needle bearings in the tacoma they have so much play even straight off the lot that they don't jive with lifts. I noticed a major difference when I did mine.
The 2.5 will do 3" of lift.
As for add a leaf vs full leaf pack that comes down to intented use.
You might be best off here to outline intended use of the truck to better suggest parts across the board.
To chine in on wheels if I read that right your wheels are coming in at 37lbs which is incredibly heavy on these trucks. I had a 30lb wheel and recently dropped to one at 20lbs but added an extra 10lbs of tire and the truck drives virtually the same.
Rotational mass/unsprung weight is a huge component to how the truck will perform and how badly it will bankrupt you on fuel cost
