All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
The older one has way more vibes in than the new one. That’s for sure.

Boy howdy this thing is rowdy

I was real close to giving up and selling it but it rules with even just the rear done.

Did your 690R have any oil leak issues? I'm pretty sure my counter shaft seal has the slightest leak. Only 1,200 miles on the bike. Searching around the forums it seems to be a common issue with the 690/701, a few people saying theirs leaked from brand new. I'm glad the bike has a two year warranty.

Oof, yeah, I wouldn't want my bike overnight on the streets in Everett either. Maybe Everett ten years ago, but not Everett today.

Excellent spot to be for riding access though.. North Cascades loop, going up to Bellingham through Chuckanut Drive, out through the ferries and the islands, out on the like fir island flats, deception pass area..

(I grew up in Conway/Mt Vernon)

That's happening, its just a matter of how long for. There's a career opportunity that will help long term, and if I don't like the area / it isn't as I remembered when I was last living there 7 years ago, then I'll bounce after a little while to a better gig.

Did Chuckanut a few weeks ago by car and it was amazing. Have more family out on Whidbey, so a Clinton ferry over, then return over the top could be fun as well.

I’d go with options 2 or 1 then. In that order.

Did a few things. Finally got my plates on(2 months late), pulled the lower tire fender/cover and strapped on a riding buddy(found while I was at Kohls and will end up giving it away to some kiddo while out riding at some point). Hopefully I'll get my new levers on this weekend.

So last night I put in another honda parts order for Monkey footpeg mounts, brake pedal, and swingarm bolt to do the monkey swap there and ditch the passenger pegs. Which then means I need to do an exhaust since the stock exhaust mount will be gone. And then that means I need to do a tune since I've done an intake and exhaust at that point..

I should just buy all this now, right? :spending: Someone say yes so I can blame you when my wife asks what all the random parts are when they show up :anonymous:

Probably doing the Zoom high mount exhaust at $265 and a DCM tune w/ a new core for $269.

You move west. They'd have to pay me an outrageous sum to move back to anywhere in the northern 50% of VA or anywhere in MD.

You can get some good gains out of an exhaust/intake/tuner for those.

I went from 8.9 to 12.5hp with a chimera, power commander and hindle exhaust, spent like 2 hours on the dyno though.
