They work fast sometimes, was your CEL on prior?

I mean at this point everything is speculation, need to do some testing to know how to proceed otherwise at this point everything is a guess.

I just checked the power and ground on my coils and I have both. I don't think my CEL was ever on before

See if you have 5v on the blue wire at the cam sensor.

Hello, The negative lead is on the neg of the battery. The first blue wire and the yellow are reading .08v on the 20 setting.(pictures attached)

Your leads are reversed where you plug them in.
That’s why you are seeing a (-) Negative voltage.
It really doesn’t matter. You should still see about 5v on the blue wire.
    Whether it’s -5v or 5v,
.08v isn’t correct, we need to focus on that issue.

Ok so we are definitely missing the 5v reference, the next question is is it shorted or is the PCM missing a power or ground.
Did you double check the area you repaired that none of the wires are shorted together and the wires are correct?
If that's good then the next step is gona be checking powers and grounds at the PCM, I'll grab a pinout when I have time.

    5v is E4 pin# 23 of the ECM
5v for the LH Cam Sensor is IF1 pin# 7
The same 5v goes to the blue wire on the Throttle Body.
You could check it. That would give you an idea of where to “start”.
IF1 is kind up way up there in the dash. I’d go to the throttle body, then ECM, then IF1.

I will also add, you really should back probe the ECM.
You definitely don’t want to short any pins.
Also, all the wires are blue. If you aren’t checking a blue wire, it’s not the right pin:thumbsup:

I don't think we are dealing with an open in the 5v ref since the PCM is offline, it's either shorted or the PCM is missing a power or ground.

I probed around and cut the wire conduit back a couple of inches, I didn't see anything else. I used 18 gauge wire, red butt connector, shrink wrap and electrical taped every strand. The rodents chewed 4 inches of wire so I used 10 butt connectors to patch in the 5 wires. Two for the OCV connector blue/red stripe & blue/white stripe. Three for the cam sensor (2) blues and (1) yellow. I can remove the intake manifold and double-check again but I just matched up all the colors

The powers are list in the pinout.
Toyota doesn’t tell you in the pinout exactly what pins are ground.
I grabbed the obvious, listed below.E4704DC1-5711-4B7A-9356-6680005C69C0.jpgD91F2B8B-8070-4F6C-B96A-61CB3A61FEB6.jpg

Should I just check everyone? Should all of these connectors have power and ground? This might be a stupid question but where would connect the gator clip for ground? Normally I would attach it on the positive terminal on the battery but in too far away for that.
