I’m curious what the community thinks or has done to increase power for your high mileage Tacomas.

Also, something I’ve never done but would like to add is a leveling kit. I don’t love the way the front of my Tacoma sits, and have really come to like the look of the leveled Tacoma. How many inches should I go for on a base access cab (2008)? Any special tools needed? Or just link me to the thread that exists for this already. Driveshaft considerations?

What's your budget? There's guys on here with Superchargers and turbo setups with 300k+ miles, but you have to be meticulous about the maintenance. Forced induction is about the only way to do it. Amazon bolt ons like CAI's and catbacks only increase noise on a stock, un tuned, setup.

To get more response from your gas pedal, really not giving you more power, but faster acceleration I would go with a Pedal Commander

Is your truck stock, or does it have larger, heavier tires, or maybe a camper shell with a ton of tools in it? Something that really adds to the weight? If so, a re-gear might help. It will increase your acceleration with lower gearing, but your cruising MPG will most likely suffer.

I added a Magnuson SC with AEM meth kit at 189k miles. Regeared to 4.56 and currently has 226k and no issues so far other than a broken belt tensioner.
