While I'm VERY lucky to have walked away with just bruised ribs and joint injuries, I'm also VERY sad to say my tacoma was totaled today. Someone turned into my lane essentially pulling a pit maneuver which caused my truck to roll twice. She is going to very difficult to replace. I built her with the best parts, 2.5 Fox coilovers, custom Alcan rear leafs, ARB bumper, rear 4xInnovations bumper, SCS F5's, so bummed y'all...

Not sure what to get next... Obviously thinking of another Tacoma but also feel like it'd be better to just get something else as it will always be a comparison, maybe a classic Pickup...ugh

    Glad you're OK.

Think of the bright side. She did her job. Trucks can be replaced, you cannot.

    Glad you walked away.

seeing and reading how much attention and time you put into your truck, it's a decision I feel should not be rushed. That's great looking truck and no doubt the next one will be too. Perhaps something modest for the time being and get the Next Gen Tacoma when it comes out. Glad to hear you're ok.

Man what a gorgeous build, I wish mine looked like that. Sad the day I see it is the day it is totaled, but glad you can walk away from that.

That does Suck!!!, and my favorite color 1st Gen. But like most have stated, walking away from a wreck with rolling the truck is #1. I just had a "Near" miss in my 03 DC. Idiot almost t-boned me pulling out of a gas station. You just experienced my biggest fear of owning a 1st gen, having a stupid driver total it. I would never be able to afford another Tacoma with today's market.
What ever you decide, I'm sure you'll be somewhat content in the long run. Finding a pristine 1st gen truck like yours was is quite expensive today.

Mostly stock - but I do have a suction cup phone holder - its pretty sweet
Sorry to hear about the truck. But I hope you are ok physically and mentally. Go to a doctor and get EVERYTHING checked out. I was in a bad accident and had no idea that I messed up my knees and needed surgery until a month after the accident.

Trucks are important pieces of our lives but continue to get yourself checked out!!

Good Luck with your insurance .

I hope you kept up with all the aftermarket parts you added .

I would have pulled it up right and drove it home.
