With a car of this caliber, I would say 5 years is pretty decent. The lack of parts and info on these had to come by. This is a million dollar car so I'm sure it will need to be perfect.

:annoyed: sounds like quite a problem. I can only suggest checking with a real estate or tax attorney (I know they could be expensive ) but in the long run they could give you advice on how to proceed. Just my opinion

    How much is the difference?

An apology? Might be a good idea. I would have hung up on you, too.

We have about another 2 years on this restore.
You have to understand the complexity of it.
There are very few available parts. None new. We have to reverse engineer parts. We have to take one of our other cars apart and have everything duplicated. One instance is we had to have a rear diff housing cad scanned and made from a big block of aluminum. That was like 10/15 grand. Oil pump rev engineered, 15 grand. Engine pieces made. Then once we have the parts we have to put the original car we “borrowed” the parts from back together. So it’s like building 2 cars at the same time.
    Powder Coated parts.
    Plated screws
Restoring the factory wiring harness to factory condition.
    Repairing factory switches.
We had 4 windshields made. Again had to get one out of a car without cracking. 5 grand a piece.
    Rear window with heating grids.
    The list is endless.
Repair, straighten, and re-weld the frame.
    Custom made suspension bushings.
Overhaul factory struts and shocks to original appearance.
    Placards and stickers duplicated.

Some Houses go for far less than what we are going to have in this car by the time we are done.

We measure other pieces to position them in the EXACT same place as factory.
Took us an hour to run one brake line on a bare chassis with custom made factory duplicated fold over retainers.

Anyone can put a car together.
Not everyone can make it as close a humanly possible to rolling off the showroom like new.
    That’s what we do.

We have owned almost every one of them (and some more than once) that came into the US.

    TY for understanding.

Its my dream car! It was Toyota's first super car. It was advanced well before its time in every aspect. Looking at your pictures, it looks so simple but for its time, it was well ahead of the game. I do own the great grand child of the 2000GT though.Screenshot_20210212-202037_Facebook.jpg

Every closing I've ever been involved in made sure all property taxes were paid up in full. I'd be calling the title company.

My 1994 the day I sold it to buy my first Porsche. It was a fun car, heavily modified.

Same here normally the seller pays the taxes for the time owned and the buyer pays for the rest of the year at closing, at least in my state. Good luck with your problem.
For azreb, tried a multi quote for the first time it did work. Sometimes I'm good with tech, other times.... not so.

Our property taxes come due in April and August. They're annual but not Jan-Dec annual. Not sure what yours are but it might be something to look into.

Since two of your options involve legal action I'd suggest finding competent legal advice. Which I ain't! ;)

Meh. Probably personal choice. Cycle fenders were on the very first 7's. Clamshells came later. Usually cycle fenders are used for racing for aero reasons but people really like the look of the clamshells.

At the closing of the property, you should have gotten a Closing Statement.

    https://www.thebalancemoney.com/what-is-a-closing-statement-5196646

Typically the seller pays expected taxes up to the day they own the property (day of closing).
With Texas Reastate, Taxes could have jumped 10%, so expected taxes were $10,000 but jumped $11,000
so you are on the hook for a little more.

It used to be a HUD-1 was provided, but that requirement dropped in 2015.

Our property tax statements are mailed November, for you to examine to agree or disagree with. Actual bill 12/10 due 1/1 - 2/15 for a discount of 1.5% other wise the first payment is to be made by then and balance by middle of June. Most banks that escrow pay for early discount. We set up a savings account for our own escrow after paying off the place for taxes and insurance. Works great for us. Being on a fixed income keeps the surprises down. We also dump about 75 extra for increases and for shit that breaks down our appliances have been failing one by one. The last 3 years have been brutal. The only things left is the fridge, and furnace. Air conditioner, stove, microwave, washer and dryer all new.

Your escrow company will take care of that issue. You paid for that service and theyre on the hook to deliver what they sold you. That’s what Title Insurance is for. Walk it through to them and relax with a cold beer.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Wolf! Wolf! But we did get an early morning storm with just thunder and lightning, and .61". Another scheduled for Friday night.

to my knowledge, and research, you can't have a battery back-up unless your solar is "off the grid". If you care "grid connected" like we are, selling back to the utility, it's even hell to get a simple transfer switch. Battery makes three potential source of supply - seems to be the issue at hand.

Good morning Porch People, Might actually get seasonal normal temps today. I got home from my daily walk and decided to bite the bullet and change out the spark plugs before I went anywhere. I did the passengers 3 in probably 1/2 hour. I hate doing the driver's side because there is too much stuff to move out of the way. I finally got it done and the truck started up immediately with no misfires. I then rotated the tires and lubed the drive line. I'm heading up to Yellowstone next month with my son and his family and wanted to get this done before then. I think I'm going to hit the driving range and figure out my horrible slice again. I thought I had it solved but this year it's showed up. Have a great day everyone and I hope it's a good one.

Been retired almost 10 years, why does it take me so long to get my "motor running" in the morning? I make a list of shit to do everyday, 1/2 gets done (usually not half assed), the other half of the list I flush down the toilet!
