Tailgate Issue

My seatbelt still isn’t working, btw. But for the newest issue:

The bushing on the bottom right hinge on my tailgate has rotted out, and the assisted fall/decline(?) that the tailgate once had, doesn’t work as it is intended to any longer. I don’t know how else to describe the issue, though I did take a photo.

The tailgate does not sit properly in its housing and is falling off in the down position unless it is opened carefully.

Dealer wasn’t much help as they wrote,
“So I have looked I to the parts for u.
Seat belt repair 200 +tax includes labour
Tailgate
About 850-900 +tax. Parts are over 500.....
Let me know whatchya wanna do”

Anyway - has anyone fixed this yet? What did you do? What parts are needed? Many thanks.
