Yea, I worry about the mount bolts interference with the an threads, preventing seal.

After shipping it's cheaper than what I found and it's expected delivery would be faster too.

Misplaced a 10mm wrench today. Found it almost in the same spot I found it a couple years ago while detailing the engine bay any guesses as to where it was

There's just something about cutting holes in a car

 

The dash rattles like every other tacoma I've had and I'd love to throw some luxury seats in there but really it's been a great vehicle.

 

Throw some 5/8 inch backer rod in between the dash and windshield, should take care of that rattle.

 

I generally use a pair of leather gloves rolled up with the middle finger sticking up. Racket balls work great too

 

Swapped out my leaky upper radiator hose. Couldn't get the exact hose I wanted. apparently it's on back order but this will work for now.

This hose must be slightly thicker, I had to fight the constant tension clamps to get them back on.
A little Silicone grease made a big difference

It's already starting to feel hot in the garage during the day. I would like to get this turbo situated before it gets much worse

I made another baby step of progress last night

Sure was a PITA getting the drivers side hole for the charge pipe. Ended up using a dremel, Sawzall, and a couple files after giving up on the 3¼ hole saw.

I really didn't want to drop the bumper and winch or it would have been much easier

I attempted to use the ratchet with the hole saw a couple times but it wasn't very fruitful

The 9mm socket was a little too loose so I wrapped the bit with some electrical tape for a better fit and that helped a little but was still not great so I tried for a little more permanent solution

This also wasn't great and didn't end up very straight so it was even more all over the place but it was fun playing with the welder regardless


This is when I got the Sawzall out haha

 

These would have made my job a lot easier last night


Planning on using these on the internals of the CX manifolds

 

Same ones I got, they worked nicely, tiny little metal shavings EVERYWHERE!
