Just to follow up on this, they did indeed ship the canopy with the wrong struts. Cap-it who I purchased it from is going to source out some equivalent struts for the canopy.

    Thanks again everyone.

your brackets look like mine and are stainless steel. No rust on mine after 4 years on the truck up in Seattle.

Just a heads up on shimming the canopies… shims are used because truck beds have variation and canopies have variation. Everything is laser cut, but the campers are welded. They will very slightly with each unit. When we install a canopy, we shim based on each unit and use the seal on the rear door as a gauge.

It’s been a while since I have had a chance to check up on this thread. I’m so stoked that so many of you are enjoying the Alu-Cab products.

The new contours are wildly popular right now so if you are considering one, don’t wait. Waiting a day or two could be the difference of a two month wait based on container and shipping issues.

    Hello folks,
If anybody is looking for a Contour canopy I have one I'm considering selling, going a different direction. Located in Helena MT. Would consider a road trip to meet within a reasonable distance. Willing to discuss a sale price. Its as new, has only been on the truck a couple weeks, has the side windows. I was going to go with RTT on top, but have since changed my mind. If interested send me a PM. Cheers

For those of you who already have a Contour Canopy installed, help me understand the wiring so I can prep for mine arriving in June. 1) Which side of the canopy does the 3rd brake light wiring come down to? 2) Which side of the canopy does the "overhead light" wiring come down to? 3) If they come to different sides, do you think it's feasible to re-route the wiring so that they would both come down to the same side so i could connect to the truck via a single 4-pin connector? 4) Anything you did differently or learned with your install that I might consider?

I have a regular Canopy that was ordered in late 2021 and the brake was routed down the passenger side and the overhead lights was routed down the drivers side. The wires are glued in a few places to the canopy to keep them out of the way. You could easily splice extensions and route that over to the side you want your 4-pin to terminate. I created a splice harness to tap the brake light and modified a bed light wiring harness for the overhead lights instead of going to a 4-pin.

I pulled the plastic caps on the bedrails, the tailgate, and the bar across the front and installed butyl tape before the cap showed up and haven't had any leaks from those areas. You could also install a tailgate seal beforehand.

I have the same question — I just ordered a canopy from AVO and am rolling on stock suspension for the time being. Anyone still have stock leafs? Is it bearable?

I just ordered my Contour Canopy. I have a DCLB. I went with side windows. I ordered mine through Juniper Overland in Denver, they quoted me a lead time of 6-8 weeks.

Anyone have the Contour and the security screen? The site says universal fit but there doesn't appear to be anywhere to rivet the brackets on the top side of the back door.

Finally got all the bits and pieces together along with a couple trips back to the drawing board for my load bar setup. Kinda wung it at one pointed and ordered a bunch of 1x2" t slot and some brackets. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Will more than likely get some aluminum brackets to replace the stands for bars as there is an absurd amount of hardware there. Seems pretty damn sturdy so far!

I'm not sure I'm following what you are asking.

I don't recall the color of the wire, but I used a product a TW member makes to have a dustproof connection for my brake light.

You need to pull power from your trucks brake light circuit (most easily done at drivers taillight) so your rear brake light on the ACCC works when you step on the brake.

I have the same setup. All power needs for my ACCC come from a house battery in the bed, but my brake light is wired directly into the OEM truck harness, via an adapter, and isn't in any way tapped into the house battery setup.

My build thread has some more info if you're curious.
