Not really the PCM is monitoring that circuit, if the voltage goes out of range it flags a code.
If you have a borescope or maybe even a mirror you can pull the air filter housing and have a look under the lower intake manifold for evidence of chewed wires on the knock sensors.
In all likelihood that's what your gona find because the knock sensors almost never fail and those wires for some reason are usually the first thing they chew on on our trucks.

The FSM says it will cut timing when you turn KEY OFF after the code trips. I’m not not sure if it’s a 2 trip logic?
But there have been others they had the same issue, and they eventually had to fix the harness. If they chewed the harness close to the connector, you might get lucky and do the repair with out having to fool with the coolant tubes.

I recall one member that recruited his wife and her small hands to help. Other guys aren’t so lucky.

The sensors are under the intake manifold. Maybe take a look (if you can) and see if anything obvious is chewed?

Every P0333 Video shows rodent damage!

Should this be something I take care of now or can it wait a couple of weeks?

It can wait a bit if you need to but as @TnShooter said the truck may not perform to it's full potential until it is fixed.

It’s up to you I guess.
If you say the truck drives fine, and you want to wait a few weeks, then by all means.
I’d say MPG might suffer some, but we all have a schedule. Do it at your earliest convenience.

I'm going on vacation next week so ill do it after I get back. I thought she was performing better than usual! I did a 5 mins test drive and spun the back tires doing a U-turn ( brand new tires) which normally never happens.

I’ll dig up some post later tonight that might help. Depending on where/if wires are chewed, you might have some options. I guess it depends where the issue is, and how much work you want to put into it. Some guys are are ok with “short cuts”. Other guys aren’t.

I've seen videos where people left the water pipe in and used long picks to disconnect the clip and pull up the harness to do repairs. My luck says it won't be on the end of the plug lol.

The fastest “short cut” is separating the water pipes. Which involves cutting the bracket. I’d be ok with that depending on the situation. However, I’d do my best to make the pipes as secure as possible when going back. Some guys just hose clamp them together and call it good.
I’d at least place a rubber hose around between the pipes and clamp, just to be safe. After a while, the engine mounts get tired. Mine is starting to shake a bit more on start up, shut down, and quick acceleration.

I have seen that too. My truck is originally from North East so everything is rusted up on her. The frame isn't too bad from what I've seen from other Tacomas. I gotta replace the power steering pump and the oil pan gasket because they are seeping ( no drips and never had to top off) so now the Knock sensor is added to the list lol.

I'm convinced this happened in 2014 . We moved from NY to GA and I noticed my cruise control didn't work driving down.

Also, the rodent nest was made with pine straws, something we do not have down here.

The question is do I replace both knock sensors while I have everything removed?

I wouldn't, they almost never fail.
If you do make sure you use OEM ones and torque them to spec, aftermarket ones are hit or miss and they are very sensitive to being torqued correctly.

My truck has been eating a quarter tank of gas every 2 days which is about 30 miles a day. I took off the lower intake and the knock sensor harness is chewed! I cut the coolant pipe brackets and I'm going that route to fix it. I'm going to replace the harness, gaskets, and o-rings. Thanks again for the help

Yea that's the easiest way to do it even if it's not the "right" way, Toyota should have made it that way to begin with (probably penny pinchers figuring it's cheaper to make a one piece pipe).
As long as you keep those pipes from rubbing one each other or the wires when your done it will be fine.
