I broke a plastic piece to the bowstack on my Supertop 2. I contacted Bestop who say I'd have to buy the entire bowstack for like $275 (plus shipping I assume).

Has anyone made these? If not I'm going to take the good one off, trace it, and hit the bandsaw... But first I figured I'd see if anyone else has made/gotten them before.

    Thanks for any help.

This is your best bet. You could even take it to a machine shop and ask them to make 2 new ones from aluminum.

Yeah, I just hoped someone else who had broken theirs had already done this. :D

I've got the same soft top and it's shortsighted that they're made of plastic. Should you have some aluminum ones made, count me in for a pair.

I'm looking into getting some aluminum ones made. I had to put the top back on for the week (used some wire wrapped around the posts in place of this plastic piece). Should take it off this weekend, so I'll take the bow stack apart then and measure that piece. I'll check for any other plastic pieces to reverse engineer as well. I don't have a cost yet for the parts but I'll put it in here after sending the drawing to my machine shop contact in case anyone else wants parts.

I also got some new LED bed lights that included a set that attach on the bottom the bow stack to really light up the bed when the top is on. When ordering I'd forgotten that the velcro enclosures go almost all the way across on this model. As of now I've got two 36" light strips each with only 8.5" of lights exposed. :D So I'll be using a hot knife to cut/seal two 6" "windows" in the velcro to allow more light. I find the top lights a big help in there at night.
