Kudos to Toyota for keeping the manual going into the 4th gen, would have guessed they weren't.

But what do they mean "currently offered with 5speed manuals", those ended years ago for the Tacoma I thought

Any 6 speed can become a 5 speed with a correctly timed money shift

All my stuff is Google Home here at my place; just wondering if the Nest has an auto recirculation feature built-in or available.

Current thermostat is programmable and has wifi but to use it away from home, it has it's own clunky app. I want to do away with said app and device but want to retain the circulation feature where it applies no heat or cooling if set temp is already reached and maintained, but still comes on as needed if temps are outside the set temperature.

As long as your control wiring carries a wire to call for blower (you might actually have more than one if it is an ECM blower) the Nest should be able to do it

Mmk, I guess just not having messed with a Nest and crappy videos not stating all its features has kept me from buying one yet.

Current one carries all the wires, including the Common wire not found in many homes.

Guess it's a matter of the Nest or Nest Learning, hmmm...

I don't know Nest stuff very well but when I was still working for Home Depot selling this stuff they offered ones with zone temp sensors that doubled as occupancy sensors and people had the most satisfaction with those since it would prioritize getting whatever room you were in to the desired temp rather than blanket cooling/heating until the air pocket near the thermostat was there.

That is the main reason for going Nest specifically; they offer that wireless device to set it for whatever room/area you want to remain consistent.

Thinking we'd use that for the nursery or master bedroom, but it's seriously why I looked at Nest and nothing else.

Fuck it, ordering it now in stainless steel.

    $50 off regular price.

If I had the cash I’d be looking at it this afternoon. Of course the head gasket is always a concern at that mileage, especially with no OBD2 to tell you if the temps are actually healthy.

Don't you just have to prove that you've worked XXX amount of paid days non-union? I know it varies in different areas but I didn't think it was too crazy to join, unless they are uber selective up there

unless it's the "must have good moral character" clause that's the big obstacle :p

I’ve never seen head gasket paranoia like with the 1FZ. Idk what it is exactly. When I had mine I was watching the temps like a hawk when I should’ve just been enjoying the truck. Temps always stayed healthy and there were no signs of K in the oil.

A more experienced driver will get farther on a shittier tire than a less experienced driver on a better tire.
