Rubber Mud Flaps

There seems to be near endless amounts of threads on mud guards/flaps out there but they are all plastic types. Bendable or not, I'm trying to find actual rubber mud flaps instead of things that look like mud flaps and kind of work as such. What is there out there like that? Seems like anything I can find will be a serious DIY job.

 

Your best bet may be finding some conveyor belt material and cutting your own.

those are polyurethane. he specifically wants rubber.

i suggest going by some local semi truck 'chrome shops'-- many stock flat rubber non-branded semi truck mud flaps for around $20/each(typical truck shops seem to only stock branded/embossed iterations). with a tin snips and 2 of those, you can cut any size you want of genuine rubber mud flaps.

 

Like what "soundman" above said. You can also try different trailer and tractor store sites. You can find them in various sizes. You can get them in rubber, flat, easy to cut, thick heavy duty, or thin, whatever your application. E-trailer, northern tool, ect.

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I may try the conveyor belt route first and see how that goes, followed up by the truck ones if it seems to not work out well

 

In my opinion, plastic just ain't the same. I did some digging and it looks like there are a few options out there.

One brand I came across is Rokblokz. They make some heavy-duty rubber mud flaps that are supposed to be easy to install and fit most cars. Another option is Husky Liners. They make some flexible mud flaps that are made from a durable rubberized thermoplastic material.
