I recently inherited a 2001 std cab 4x4 2.7 5 speed and it's missing the rear drive shaft. I measured form the flange on the rear-end to the flange on the transfer case and it was right at 48" every shaft I find online is 55" or 57" Screenshot_20230502_133156_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20230502_133109_Chrome.jpg

Both of those are for 2wd prerunnwe, which doesn’t have a transfer case and would therefore have a longer driveshaft. Do they list one for a 4x4?

All I can find for 4wd is for extended cab and they are 65" or longer

Interesting. Are there any local driveshaft shops in your area? They may be able to build you one for a reasonable price.

The drive shaft is a two piece shaft with a carrier bearing. Edit sorry, let me add to that. Being two piece might change the length you're measuring.

Either way, I'd call and talk to someone wherever you order from to ensure fitment.

Single cabs get single piece driveshafts.

I'll read better next time. I miss-read the "std cab" bit.
