    My guess is the developer ran out of money and/or didn't carry out due diligence :notsure:

    Less than a mile from me as the crow flies is something like that.
    An old apple orchard on a hillside with a rough access road such as a bulldozer might make in one pass.
    Plus a couple hydrants.

    The story is, the developer found out he'd have to do soil mitigation for (unspecified) heavy metals :eek:
    No bueno for residential construction.

    Mind you, this isn't California, so the contamination must really be something.
    And there was (is) an apple orchard on it.
    Now I know that in the past orchard-men used to heavily use things like copper sulfate, but really?
