Seems like a real dick move getting the NHSA involved over frame Rust on a 20 year old truck…

Especially considering Toyota gave owners a decade to warranty it.

No disrespect intended to you (or your opinion) but it's a total dick move for Toyota to keep building shitty frames. My 2019 is already starting, after owning 4 Toyota trucks that succumbed to rust this is my last one. I'm looking into a Ram 1500, I will tolerate a few mechanical nuances over frame rot. All my Toyota frames rotted from the inside out, even after the dealer "treated" them. Just my preference.
I suppose the reality is whatever you buy you're going to make some sacrifices in one way or another. I feel bad for Vermont owners, they will not pass a truck for inspection that has had ANY form of frame welding regardless of how small it is.

Just what it means an act caused by a known or unknown party to damage another companies product .

To harm the first companies reputation or income .

Ok , now I got you......around here I think it's "local municipality sabotage", meaning the damn DOT puts enough salt down to melt a damn glacier.

Are Toyota frames really rotting out in disproportionate numbers in your area? I’ve seen plenty of chevys, fords, and dodges with rotted frames too. They just never offered to replace them for free. In comparison Toyota has already gone above and beyond.

Yes, it's really bad here. The funny thing is the Toyota frames rot, but not the bodies. The Ford/Chevy/Ram frames don't rot but the bodies rot. I guess it's a "pick your poison" situation. I will say GM trucks seem to have the most frame rot of the big three, Ford's have the most cab rot, and all three have bed rot around the wheel openings. If you're on the market for a steel body Ford, watch out for the rocker areas.
