Replacement side view mirror caps

So I was driving home today and I was on my street as the USPS van came driving by. My street is a little narrower so I slow down and stop as he passes me and he continues to drive and his side mirror hits my drivers side mirror and bends it towards the front of my car and leaves a small scratch, not too big but definitely noticeable.

He continues to drive and I make the u turn to follow him and he pulls over on the next street and I get out and we have a conversation where he ends up calling his supervisor as he blames me for hitting him. His supervisor comes and gives me her number to call her and let her know with what I plan to do, and that was that. The drive was a kid and he was really nervous, she told me it was his second day by himself. Made me feel like an asshole lol.

Anyways, long story short what would you guys do? Just looking for some advice because I’ve never been in this situation.

I do have the tech package with the BSM, and it all seems to be working fine so I don’t think they’re anything wrong with that, but it’s just a really tiny cosmetic issue.
