Yes that's true, the MT doesn't get the JBL audio even with the Premium package (for some reason I'm still unsure of). To me, I was ok with that though. I'm not a audio/music person and mostly listen to NFL and talk radio now (am I getting old? oh no...), so I didn't mind the hundreds of $$$ in savings vs the Premium on the ATs which includes the JBL, and also was nice not to lose that behind seat storage area that you do with the JBL subwoofer back there.

Yep I meant finding a used one, before it is beaten down too much. I may be remembering wrong, but couldn't you only get it with W/T or base level packages though? That would be a bummer since I'd like to have creature comforts with it as well if I'm driving around the country in it.

Blessing in disguise its way easier to tinker with the non-jbl after and the jbl isn't anything to write home about. The only thing I wish they had carried over was the touch-less entry with the handles. Still like turning a key but would have been nice to grab the door and have it open when my hands are full instead of fumbling with a key.

When I was in design school back in 1988, a very notable transportation design instructor said ‘do not put a manual transmission in any of your designs…they won’t exist by the year 2000’. It seems he didn’t understand that market decides what will stay and what will go. If enough people keep buying manuals, they will build them.

Dude was a moron. That same year I walked on to a lot looking for a fully tarted up model with a manual transmission, a car which I knew very well was being built. A sales rep asked me what I was looking for, went to talk with his manager, and then came out with a key; he walked me past all of the higher end cars on their lot and I asked him where he was taking me; he said, "That one over there."

I said, "You mean the strippo model covered in bird shit?"

I turned around and as I was heading for my car he said, "You really don't want a manual transmission, you'll hate it and regret your purchase."

I stopped, looked at him square in the eye and said, "You would be well advised to listen to what customers say they want."

A week later I drove my new car (purchased at a dealership a few miles away) to that same dealership, found the sales associate and showed him my new car, complete with three pedals under the dash.

I've been rocking my old g2 all week. I have to say, I like it's MT
Bingo. When I needed to upgrade from an access cab (kids got too rowdy and big) we didn't even consider selling it. I now get the pleasure of deciding every morning between the old g2 with the 4.0 or the refined g3 with the 3.5.....

I've found I drive the g2 on days I'm in a bad mood. I love its complete lack of traction control. And I paid 4 it a decade ago. If I want to drop the clutch and burn em a little I don't even think about it.

Tho minivans arent as bad as they are made out to be, My Dad has had them for years and they are a very practical vehicle, just not a show stopper. I never owned one tho, but Im 32 and no kids so the future could…

Watch the link. It’s a 1 of 1 minivan so not really accurate. Just a cool episode I remember.
