As a long time kings fan since the 80s. I never get my hopes up. The Refs are always the 6man of the other team. Lol

And as business is concern the US would rather see a Lakers Warrior’s series than kings lakers. Just saying. I’m a pessimist when I comes to the kings

So I did a thing today to my dad's 05.

    1,1st stage behind bumper.jpg
2 weeks ago, we mounted the winch on a winch plate between the bumper and frame, (black triangle) but we ran out of time to wire it and make the bumper cover fit right. We did get the bumper cover zip tied close to where it goes so he wasn't out a truck.

    2,setting up fairlead.jpg

    3,setting up fairlead.jpg
I made some 90 deg brackets out of 3/16 x 2" flat bar and clamped them in place using the fairlead to be sure they fit after welding.

    4,welded fairlead mounts.jpg
Then I welded the brackets up and added gussets inside the bend.

    5,ready to roll.jpg
I made a cut in the bumper cover just big enough to fit the new brackets (not the fairlead), then after we wired the winch up, we put the bumper cover on and bolted the fairlead to the outside.

He plans to use it to haul logs around on his property, so he got the steel cable. The winch winds in and out like it should when wired to the controller, but in Bluetooth mode, the winch will only wind in. Sucks, because it isn't easy to get the winch out to replace it under warranty.

Can anyone recommend a reputable Jeep shop in the Sacramento/norcal area?

Not sure what you're looking for but Jason Warden aka Stretch Fab is up here in Placerville, he's built quite a few rubicon ready jeeps but he does Yotas too...there's also Varozza 4x4 up here too

Primarily going to look for someone experienced to install a 3 link lift. The fab work is outside my skill level.

Hey no kidding. I bought a 09 Rubicon project for use as a dedicated crawler. Jeep ownership for daily driving has to be pretty ridiculous lol.

Things I know I need to fix:
It has serious death wobble. I found the track bar lower bushing exploded and needs to be replaced. I'll likely through in a new track bar entirely since the mount hole looks wallowed out.
Previous owner installed 1 ton steering, it's eating itself alive because they never set steering stop bolts correctly. Steering geometry is off, so I'll need to redo that but might as well get new tie rod and drag link while I'm at it.
Track bar axle side mount has a cracking weld. So I'll need to cut the entire thing off and weld on a new bracket. Oh, and I don't know how to weld, but I'm excited to learn and practice while this Jeep sits in my driveway.
Jeep is lifted 4" on just springs, controls arms are all OEM so the geometry is off.
Oh and it has OEM bump stops and brake lines.

That doesn't include tons of little fit and finish shit I still need to do. Oh, and it has Fox 2.0 IFP shocks and I'm of a mind to pull one of them off to measure and make sure they put on the right length shock for this lift because I've learned I can't trust anything about this thing.

I'm sure there is plenty more in store for me to discover.
    Fun.

I'm by no means a jeep guy, but if I was going to build one I would probably call Jason or Josh (Varozza). I've seen both of their rigs on the Rubicon, they definitely know what they're doing.

    AT Overland Summit,
This weekend or next, doing the front suspension with 2" lift on a new truck and will need to get an alignment. What are good options in/near Sacramento. If it matters, wheels will be stock Tacoma Off Road and 33 shinnies 255/85 r16. Will not need to drive the vehicle until alignment.

I always take my truck to Clark Frame & Alignment in Roseville. They work on a lot of aftermarket stuff.

Agreed, they are wheeling enthusiasts so they understand lifts and what to do to get aligned.
