    Turtles serve many roles in our ecosystems and cultures, but many species are in decline. Learn some basic turtle biology as well as information about a few species found in Maryland, their reasons for decline, and how you can help turtles thrive in the wild.
    Kerry Wixted is a Maryland naturalist with over 15 years’ experience studying flora and fauna of Maryland. She is currently Amphibian & Reptile and Invasive Species Program Manager with the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies. She has previously worked for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and has taught classes for Audubon’s Natural History Field Studies Program.

    You might have a point if "Cecil" ran the entire race. He ran about 0.05% of the race, Bugs ran 100%. "Tactical" is just the cheap excuse ill-informed people make for him.
