    New to the group and need some advise…I have come across a really good deal on a nice travel trailer but it weighs 6000 lbs., my 2016 Taco is rated for 6400lbs…, any advise???

    You have to take into consideration that this is the trailer weight not the extra weight you are carrying. Two 30 lb propane tanks, rv battery, equalizer hitch, all your gear plus yourself and any passengers take you way over weight. Plus you take into consideration the length and width plus the height of the trailer. I pulled a 24 ft aluminum framed one weighing in at 3800 and my Tacoma was rated at 6400, could really feel it back there and any wind it was a bit hairy. Go online and look at what size trailer you can safely tow just for piece of mind. And don’t take the salesman’s pitch at a rv lot that will tell you your truck can tow anything there.

    Yea the Tacos GCWR is 11,300 lbs., looks like the trailer is gonna be too much.
