They have some really cool looking stuff. Thanks for the info. Too bad they don’t answer their phone either.

Not trying to be an asshole, but you obviously don't wheel the truck. Those steps show you have a mall crawler, so just don't carry a spare. I mean how often do you get a flat driving on pavement? I have had 2 flats in 30 years of driving.

My experience is that you need to catch Billy when he's taking a break. When I was there last year to pick up my bumper, it was a two-man operation, so he was busy as hell.

Actually, I was waiting for you and you’re kind to finally chime in. Usually happens right away on this forum and that’s why I don’t come here much. It did take 83 posts on this thread though, so I’m pretty impressed with that. Glad you’re a psychic. Any thought of coming down to Tampa and going to the horse track with me? I’ll finance the entire endeavor and you just have to tell me who’s coming in first, second and third place in all 10 races. If it all works out you and I should be billionaires by 5 PM. What are your thoughts?

PS- of course you’re trying to be an asshole. Nice attempt at pre-redemption though. Lol

Maybe check something out on here>> https://www.discountramps.com/carriers/c/2130/

LOL, I saw the motorcycle chain too, but no muffler, so I figured it was an electric moto. I just didn't know how much 'extra' those weight vs. an electric mountain bike.

It looks like the quality might be all over the place with the huge price variance. But at least it's starting point if you have not come across it on your own already. I would definitely check for reviews. Good luck!

He texted me back. He said he would call me later. I just noticed on his website it’s a 16 to 20 week lead time. However, that would be plenty of time before I start going to Hunting Camp every weekend. I like the idea of the table that comes down from the swing arm. More places to put my my grill and other cooking stuff. Thanks for the lead.

Here are a couple of pics of what I built for my 35" spare. I had a swingout but really didn't like how the truck handled with all that weight behind the axle. The rack moved the tire forward over the axle and to the passenger side which, along with the hi-lift, counters the gas tank/taco lean. Cooler/fridge fits behind it and the action packer fits snug next to it.

Actually, that’s quite ingenious. It fits right in there perfectly. Great picture also.

    I like that.

I never thought about how the truck would handle with all the weight in that back. Something to keep in mind I guess.

You seem to have the same leaky bed with the dirty water from the road coming in over the unsealed composite bed. Have you removed your fender liners? I’m still trying to seal between the bed and fender.

If using logic is being an asshole then I guess I am. Like I said, do you need a spare? Have you got a lot of flats? Proper tools to fix the flat would be a lot easier to carry around then a 35" tire. Or do you pay people to fix your flat tires as well as clean your M5? Now that's being a dick.

It’s got me wondering also. Although I do have the leaf springs for it. I knew I was going to add a bunch of weight to this truck. The goal was always to be able to stay at camp throughout the whole weekend without having to go in town for anything including food. In the past I just stayed at these little redneck hotels. Like I said, I would rather stay in one spot and not have to go back and forth, saving and extending sleep time in the mornings before moving to a blind. I’m not taking this truck up the side of cliffs just down crap ass uneven, rocky roads. I don’t think I having extra weight on the back will harm anything.

Most of the bedside mounted options looked like they wouldn't hold the tire steady and eventually tear the bed apart. TBH another TW member posted a pic with something similar and I built from that. Credit to that guy, and agree it's a great setup. Also puts the tire out of site, out of mind, to help keep honest people honest.

I could feel the weight pulling the ass end of the truck around, kinda like hauling a trailer. I run the Icon RTXs and carrying the weight wasn't an issue but evasive maneuvers and spirited driving was kinda spooky. Bumper w/swingout was approaching 275lbs, and add another 90lbs with the tire.

Yeah, I removed the fender liners and never reinstalled the seal from bed to tailgate. I don't get whole lot of water in the bed but the dust finds its way in for sure.

Take those lead times with a grain of salt. I just checked my emails, and mine was 37 weeks from initial deposit to the final invoice when I had it installed. (Granted, there were some supply issues with the bearing or some other part for the swingout, from what I remember.) Also, I don't think he lists it on the site, but he apparently can do a double-swingout with fold-down table(s). Had I known, I would've gone that route over the single swingout.
