Paint codes

Hello all, I would like to add something we just went through with our 2008 Tacoma base model. This is a work truck to pick up parts for a local golf course. Had a peice of equipment back into front corner of truck. Broke headlight and curled up fender. Went to local body shop and he got the code of 3P1 for impulse red that is on the sticker inside door jam. Body guy is a golfer here and ordered a new fender and painted. Weput it on and it looks maroon compared to rest of the truck. Body guy said sun faded the rest of truck. It doesn't even come close to inside the door jams when sun doesn't fade. Went ot local dealer and tried touchup samples. Turns out this truck is painted Barcolona Red code 3R3. We tested inside door jams and under hoodand inside tailgat. Perfect match. thing is the dealer says it happens a lot when coming down the assembly line the wrong sticker gets put on. But here again, Barcolona red wasn't a tacoma color untill 2010. So just know if the colors far off you could have the same issue.
