I say use any color you really like. I just used the red because it matches the TRD on the intake.

Thanks man! Finally got it figured out. I use to use photobucket and attach it as a photo on a different forum but it wasn't working very well here for some reason.

Finally installed the 5100’s, stock height because I just wanted a better shock refresh for my daily. Truly is a day and night difference. As most say, feels more planted. Happy w the refresh.

Also testing this aluminum fishing rod holder. Had to drill out the rear hole a little bigger. I was able to use the OEM Cleat rails for a quick on/off use.

Nice! Curious, how many miles did you have when you replaced your shocks and were the OEMs from 2017? TIA!

TRD: Lift, Exhaust, Air Intake, Skid Plate & "Beadlock" wheels. Batman sticker. 255/85R16 Toyo MTs. Debadged. H9s.
Got a front bed rail installed, and moved two cleats onto it.
Now very prepared to say, "Well, that ain't going anywhere."

Also: New Toyo MT 255/85/16 tires on the faux beadlock rims (16x7.5 w/10 mm offset)
Dealer was nice enough to put it in the showroom for a few days...partly because the old tires (now assigned to winter duty) were in the bed.

No off-road trials yet (it's only been an hour) but lots of tight turns in parking lots and over curbs at various stores that sell celebratory supplies. No rubbing and quieter than I was expecting.

About 80 km to get home (50 miles) and I'm finding that the extra 8+% diameter from stock means I'm comfortable in one gear lower than I'd used in the past in the same hilly places...nice thing about manuals is that's not a big deal. In 6th gear on level highway at 100km/h (60 mph) actual speed, the engine is still in the "Atkinson" range, so the fuel consumption may not be completely terrible. Easy to drop to 4th when I want to pass.

    IMG_7450.jpg

    Overall, pretty happy.

Changed my engine oil, oil filter, front/rear differential oil, replaced chrome bumper caps with plain black ones, and replaced the factory decal with a blacked out decal.
