    You're welcome!

If you are getting a yaw sensor code, then it won't be a wheel sensor.

Yes, though. It is possible to damage a wheel sensor when doing mods. I did it twice. Once when putting a suspension on a friend's 4Runner and once when I was doing body mounts on my Taco (missed the fastener on the coilover support). Just the wiring and both were easy to repair. Damaging the sensor itself takes a pretty good effort, IMO.

It sounds like you need to scan the code and see what the situation is. If it is a wheel sensor, they are generally easy to repair and a dealer would bend you over for a new one since they are not cheap. They will not repair one for you.

If it is just the yaw rate sensor calibration, well, you'd have been fixed up about eight times over by now.

Preciate it! So if I took an obd 2 reader and read the computer, would there be a stored code for the use rate sensor, for every time the VSC light comes on as flashes then goes off?

    You're welcome.

Codes are not stored based on count, just that a threshold what achieved. Some permanent codes will be sorted without showing a CEL. So, yes. You can see those with an OBD scanner and search their meaning.

Awesome, I’ll try and scan the ecm and look to see if I get any codes related to the VSC system.

do you think the ECM would know if there’s an issue with the VSC from the light flashing around turns, or would it consider that just normal operation of the system?

I love Tacoma World. I replaced my steering rack & pinion and got lots of blinking lights. I ordered the INNOVA 5210 from Amazon for $89 and it worked. Amazon had it to me next day. FYI - I tried the paper clip method like 10 times, it did not work. Saved me a trip to the stealership. Thank you all that contribute.

Hey all, finally got around to doing a zero point calibration through techstream. I used the clear memory function next to the test button, which is supposed to clear the memory for an old calibration, so I thought. Or are there DTC’s I have to clear or something else. I’m mentioning this because my issue of going around turns a little quicker or even seemingly normally is still causing my trac light to flash. Is there anything on TS or anything in general I can try? It’s just annoying me. Thanks!

Just wanted to report that I was able to do the zero point recalibration using a Creaser by Launch made for Toyota. Purchased off Amazon for $129.00. This OBD2 bi-directional device paid for itself since I did not have to go to the dealer.

I made the mistake of going to the dealer the first time. To be honest with you, I just got a cracked version of techstream running on a VM and did it myself whenever I needed it…

Though that’s neat, I didn’t know those smaller/cheaper (relatively speaking) scan tools could do that. I figured it was a techstream only thing, or at least something reserved for multi thousand dollar scan tools.

I believe I did both. I followed this video step by step on YouTube. This is the exact OBD2 scan tool I purchased as well.

    https://youtu.be/WhOgxVqs5Vk?si=mSHuiwZmbJ0EWSzF

Hopefully this YouTube link will work. On a side note this scan tool is also supposed to be able to program smart keys as well as TPSM.
