Anyone have a rough idea of what a 19 utility 2WD tacoma 2.7 with 12000 miles. Would go for on a trade in on new SR double cab these days? Roughly what the difference would be

oh man, prices are all over. One dealer might have a potential buyer and pay top dollar, one may not. Also new prices have a wiiiiiide range. Some are claiming discounts, some that MSRP is a "good deal", and some saying they are still seeing mark ups over MSRP and/or overpriced gimmicky shit added to vehicle they don't want (same as mark ups in my book).
If you want a rough estimate, try the online car buyers.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You have the perfect vehicle, already. What’s the problem you’re having with it?

Depends on what part of the country you are in but I’d guess just shy of $10K.

I'd suggest that if you need to make the switch, you:

1.- Price the truck you are considering. - It is n upgrade = more expensive

2.- Gauge the market for your taco
    a) trade-in value (not the best option)
    b) check online buy sites (quick sale - they might surprise you...)
    c) list for private sale. (Will take time...)

    3.- compare outcomes of 1 & 2 and decide

You may possibly be pleasantly surprised by the value of your vehicle. I had a very clean 2020 2WD Sport dblcab with 100K miles and several dealers offered me $28K for it on a trade. I was shocked by the value of my high mileage truck and traded it for a new Sport.

What was more strange is that the dealer sold my trade in truck in 48 hours for $34k.

I second this. Plug it into Carmax and Carvana’s online trade in tool and start getting a ballpark.

they’ve usually given me great offers in the past and I’ve either used it as leverage with a dealer or in the case of my current Tacoma, bought it at Carmax.

ha, ha sucker! Just kidding- but you know they were happy. You did well for the mileage though, not many other vehicles on the road these days can hold their value like that!

OP should take note and sell it himself.
