Those one cylinder kickers can be finicky. did you get it figured out?

I think it was flooded. After 20 or so pulls it kicked over and puffed out a bunch of smoke. 20 or so more it finally started

 

Manual says 42-43 pulls is the sweet spot for those old Johnsons...

My Honda HS928 has an electric start.

I never use it. Non-ethanol gas, 1-2 pulls later it’s happily chugging along.

 

An old Johnson I’d expect it. Not a new 4 stroke!

 

Here’s an old one next to a new one. We’ve come a ways in 30 years I’d say!

Saw this "interesting" modification in a parking lot.



Someone put a fair amount of time in, not sure just what to think style wise.

 

Thats what new tacoma and tundras look like to me

 

Take it back.. it's the wrong shade of green

 

I haven't seen the new Tacoma yet, agree on the Tundra - not my style.

If I was looking for one it would be the last of the old gen - even better a 2017 without the TSS systems, maybe I will grab one when they get down in my price bracket...

 

Engine/transmission swap planned?

 

Nice to have modern steering & brakes, stopping is so handy.
