My best guess as to what's happening:
My truck feels like it's occasionally applying the traction control very prematurely. During a recent trip in a very winding/hilly area, I had two other drivers report it happening, both while I wasn't in the truck, but was skeptical that they were possibly just driving/cornering too fast as they both drive sedans normally.

It happened to me today finally. I was going about 30-40mph, had the steering wheel turned maybe to the 1 o clock position, and the traction control kicked in hard enough to make it hard to steer and stay in my lane. That's very similar to what they were reporting. I've looked for rubbing from the larger tires after they reported the braking, but found nothing, and I wouldn't expect anything at such a minor curve in the road. I didn't hear any rubbing this time.

The only other time i've had traction control kick in I was driving mountain roads at 60-70 and taking the turns arguably too fast...that one was understandable and I think it was behaving normally. That was 3 years ago.

Any ideas where I should start looking, maybe for a bad/dirty sensor or something else?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't believe so. It's been aligned but this is new to me. I'll read through that thread.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Lift/Tire Information, for anyone else reading:
Bilstein 6112/5160, set at 2" lift, firestone airbags in the back. 285/75/16 BFG KO2 (33's)

That would be a good first step then, the system uses various sensors to determine if the vehicle is travelling in the direction the driver intends (steering angle input). If the zero point of any of the sensors is not correct it can cause unintended activation of the system.

VSC is a bitch when not calibrated after an alignment. Scary and dangerous when it pops on in a turn...

Yeah, It's been at least a year and a half since the new suspension and tires. I'm surprised it took this long to show up. My Dad was driving it around the Ouachitas in AR and camping out of the back after dropping some of us off for a backpacking trip, and said that it pushed him all the way across to the other side of the road. Luckily no one else was on the road.

After reading over half of that other thread, this seems like a pretty safe bet. I'll find a flat spot and reset it tonight.
