Tacoma Sneeze noise

    07 Tacoma 2.7 stars and runs great but a few minutes after starting it, the engine makes a crazy sneezing sound. The noise comes from the passenger side of the engine, does it one time, then it's normal again.
    Any ideas?

    From your description it sounds like it may be the Secondary Air Injection System shutting down, does it only do it on a cold start?

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Normal. Secondary air system. A bit loud on startup, stops after a few moments. 'Huffs' on shutdown.

    I also did the filter mod linked above by @nightcrawler . Doesn't change the sound, but makes less concern about imploding parts.
