Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else. But has anyone else had a problem installing the ecgs bearing in the diff on a 2011 base? It has been installed flush with the housing. But the cv does not get past the splines. I have pulled out the cv and felt the bearing on the inside and it feels like there is a lip all the way around on the inside edge? I have even tried to take the c-clip off the end of the shaft to check for clearance and it’s the same thing. Any ideas?

I know mine took a little more oomph to put the cv back in, assumed it was due to the tighter tolerance. Any chance you could post a pic? Had a buddy install his ECGS backwards and the non hardened side deformed enough to reduce opening

Gotcha. I thought this was the right way, but I took the oil seal out to see what the problem was and it will not get past the lip

Looks like it’s installed the right way. But it looks like you beat the shit out of it to get it there. (No offense intended)
If you’re still having trouble, could grab a digital caliper, and check cv shaft and bushing...

Why does the diff look so beat up Like it was beaten with a hammer? The bushing looks like it was hammered in with a screwdriver. IMO that bushing should be replaced and set in place the proper way.

Damn my guy it looks like you put it in there with a chisel. A file might do it like dacapster said. I would unfortunately recommend a new bushing. ECGS makes a driver for it. It’s definitely worth the money by you can also borrow one for this site if you search for installation tool. A part store can rent you a driver set that will probably work also. I’ll post a picture of the tool and bushing after installing with it.
