Well that crown moulding install actually went well today. I pre-assembled it in two sections for one cluster of uppers and secured with screws through the bottom of the uppers into that short leg on the back of the bottom piece. Everything lined up nicely except the one miter where the two sections met. I had no ability for slight adjustments as one was fixed in place and the other was just rigid from the assembly. It was only about a 1/8" gap at the bottom of the long miter on the crown. Seemed good when I dry fit it, but something shifted slightly during assembly. Used some wood filler and it can be touched up. Homeowner was totally fine with it. I got all the piece cut, fit and layed out for assembly and installation tomorrow. Will probably do that in two pieces as well. I'll marry them up at an inside corner this time.

Pre-Assembly using Collins Spring miter clamps.

Thank you all for the input.

Question for you guys, having the house painted in a couple of weeks and I’d love to make some of these boxes disappear. Any advice or suggestions?

That might be the route we have to go. Planning to open the boxes this weekend and see what all is going on. We only have internet and stream everything so hopefully I can pull at least one of these.

Just had our house painted. They literally just paint over all of that stuff. It’s not as clean as it would be if it were all removed but it’s way better than it was.

Ignore the weeds in the flower bed…

Got all our trusses spread out

Still need to add the infill between the double girder trusses for 3 skylights that align with the 12' slider

This kitchen / dining / living common area is all vaulted to approx 12' ceiling height

part of the master / ensuite end on this side of the sheeted interior rake wall will get dropped to a flat 9' ceiling later , the resulting "attic" area will be a conditioned space where we are running all the hrv venting etc

Dishwasher decided to piss all over my floor this weekend so a new one was ordered. It's coming tomorrow so I had to get the old one out so they can take it.

At least it’s all camouflage with the paint. Hopefully they do the same with mine.. going white though. Happy wife happy life or something like that?

    I appreciate the feedback.

I'm not sure. The cabinets were installed last fall by the homeowner.

    I just saw this edit.

The original dishwasher was hard wired by the contractor that built the house. I've never looked but I assume that's code, especially since I installed the one I just removed and it come hardwired.

So the fridge showed up on the date it was supposed to, and due to living in the middle of nowhere I was first on the list. So, they were here at 7:30am.

    However... yea it didn't fit...

Got to take the 3/4" section of the cabinet out and re-work it. For the time being it isn't too much in the way. Glad I bought the longer ice make line!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I've never seen a dishwasher that wasn't hardwired.
