    Right to the point…..
    - Purchased new in January
    - Noticed shortly after (prior to mods) that there was a steering wheel vibration as the truck was shifting or at the beginning of “pull”. Called dealer and they said just wait to 5k service.
    - The vibration is more like a phone set to vibrate feel, although not that aggressive. The vibration is more pronounced on top of the steering wheel.
    -Not a shake or wobble.
    - if anything, it has gotten worse not better.
    - Truck has aftermarket wheels and tires that are properly balanced.
    - Perfect alignment
    - 2” front spacer lift, 1” rear block lift

Respectfully, I am not looking for opinions. I am hoping that someone has encountered this issue and found a fix.

    Thanks!

Did you buy the truck with aftermarket lift, rims and tires?

Well the only thing that is different about your truck than the others is:

    Aftermarket wheels and tires.
    Lifted.

    Done by the dealer?

So take it back to stock and see if it still happens.

"Respectfully" if you're not looking for opinions, don't ask people to diagnose your vehicle on the internet. No one can state factually what your problem is...you'll need a therapist for that. :rimshot:

Problem was observed prior to lift.

Reason I stated not looking for opinions is to not take the forum down a rabbit hole.

Trying to keep focused on the real issue and hopefully share information instead of making a post 15 pages with no resolution

Modifying something that has bearing issues with a 2 in lift is not wise. People tell you the needle bearings are prone to failure on any lift and advise buying new bearing for the lift even if it was was running well before.

I would start with those bearings, if not reverting to pre-lift just to make things stable first.

You bought a new truck. You have a warranty. Take it to the dealer for repair. Don’t ask them and don’t accept “wait for the 5K service”.

I had some steering wheel shake at around 60mph after I replaced wheels tires. Took it back to my alignment guy turns out I threw a wheel weight. they replaced the weight while rebalancing the tire/wheel problem solved.

Sounds like the same stupid thing a buddy did on his 2019 v6 tacoma. Never really drove the truck when it was stock...he had to do a 3'' lift with 33' big ass mud tires to look the cool part. He never had any intention of using the truck off road, but did end up with a truck that performed like chit with all kinds of vibrations. At any rate he put the truck back to stock, but it still wasn't to his liking, so he traded it for a new frontier...now he's happy. End of story.

Do you feel the vibration through the floorboard? If so, that was my experience with both a failing needle bearing, and later a drivers side front wheel bearing that was failing due to a missing seal and resulting corrosion.

    Update:
As mentioned in this thread and the thread @Ryan188 mentioned, engaged 4wd and the vibration pretty much disappeared.
Sounds like the stock needle bearing is crap and is hit or miss even on stock tacomas which explains why I felt it before mods. Mods are minimal, 2/1 lift and 265 tires.
Gonna order ECGS components like suggested in the thread Ryan shared
