Just when you think it can’t get any better, it does. Just received Fumoto’s new brass nipple. It replaces the white plastic nipple that is the go between for the valve and your drain hole. The new one locks in place real securely. I bought two, one for each car, and they will remain on the valve permanently which is another example of me not worrying about the valve sitting too low and ripping off.

I've been using the Fumoto valves since 1984 and I have a 98 Montero that's been rocking it since new and 278k trouble free miles. I just crawl under it with the empty 5qt jug from the previous fill and empty it, put the cap on the jug, and slide out. I have a short hose I keep on the nipple and just tuck up over the trans line.

I’ve had the white plastic nipple split/crack.

When I ordered a valve for my Tacoma, I ordered the one with the brass nipple. I just slip on a piece of poly tubing when I drain

I just installed the short nipple one. Accidentally overfilled. Plugged in the new adapter, turned the switch, drain. Check and oil level is good. E z p z. Imagine over filling and trying to drain with the stock oil bolt. I’m never going back to the stock bolt. Fumoto valve for life.

If you have short nipple, this will make your nipple longer. If you don’t have any, this will not help.

Uhh, I’m referring to the Fumoto oil drain valve.

Hasn’t been a problem for me. I leave the nipple installed on each of my vehicles.
