    This!
Sorry but I highly disagree that Toyota got the stereo controls right.

As pointed out above, it's not "turn it right!"
    No, it's "turn it up!"
The steering wheel stereo controls on my Taco are 100% basakward to every other single car manus set up I've ever owned.

Not sure about a game changer, ha. Had my truck 4 years now so I just got used to it. That would have been cool a few years back. IMO this is one of those products that if you see if enough you'll start wanting it. I'll pass on this one.

I just got used to the controls as they were also. Although, the volume knob turns to the right for more volume and to the left for less volume. Things that make me go hummmm.

Game changer, nah. I seldom use the steering wheel bottons.

this was probably the biggest OE miss in the last 10 years. Who the hell did the steering wheel controls and thought that the way it was done was correct. a toddler would know better. That person should be fired.

When my workday is done I plan to hit the hiking trails. I will check back at midnight to see how much more you post on this critical subject.

Ouch, I haven't mounted my VHF mobile in the truck yet and instead opt for my VHF handheld in a cup holder with a mic plugged into it. Guess I'll continue with the same.

Turning the knob clockwise or counterclockwise is the same as turning it any direction depending on your point of reference.
The spinning of objects is usually described like the hands of a clock not up/down/right/left, aside from the well established colloquialism for volume which people conveniently forget every time this comes up.
It is an undeniable fact that these controls don’t follow more than half a century of media control layout, analog to digital. Right moves media forward and left back.
Is it an insurmountable problem? No. Could the gui just as easily have been designed to follow standardized controls? I think so.
You either don’t like the layout and would consider paying to change it, or you don’t care at all. Although the later group usually gets much more aggressive about their opinion.
