Good luck with the tire mount. I had the MotoZ on my 1190r for 2 sets. I never experienced the death wobble on it, but the front tires would cup like mad!

 

Bead paste works wonders. I spooned the scooter tire on in a few min with copious amounts of paste.

 

I did it last year around this time, on a bucket. Learned some things. I have a MotionPro bead breaker tool, and also ordered a Tusk spoon kit. Didnt bother with the rim protector this time. It just got in my way.

And actually thanks for the reminder, gotta call a shop to see if they have a tube in stock for me to pick up. Would like to have one on hand this time around.

 

Wow the shop put me on hold for 20 min and then hung up. Told me to go to the Honda dealership when I called back..

LOL. My ex about lost her shit twice on me due to riding. First time, she was following behind me as I rode my bike to the shop for a tire change...she wasn't thrilled with my entry onto the freeway. Second time, we were taking a weekend trip with friends to the mountains, I decided I'd take the opportunity for a nice ride in the twisties. Waited for an open stretch of freeway and did a flyby past her car. Got an earful for that one

 

Sheesh. some people man. Idk how they either don't have the self-awareness or don't care to be considerate of others. Us riders already get a bad rap by default, why would anyone wanna contribute to that?

When I was living with my parents, we had a neighbor who did that as well. Full custom chopper with straight pipes, and he'd get it started every Saturday and Sunday morning at like 7AM. Swear he never even rode it either, just let it idle in the driveway for 5-10 minutes and would rev it up. Made sleeping in a real challenge. He wasn't even an immediate neighbor, he was across the street and maybe 3 houses down.

 

I'm about to start filming a stock vs zoom high mount exhaust video on my grom, and for it being a little 125 I'm actually really nervous about how loud it's going to be. I'm on good terms with my neighbors and want to keep it that way

 

Yeah my thought was it getting narrower and taller as it spins up. Went back and looked again and it looks like plenty of clearance, you're right. Now I'm kinda sad I'm selling my Navi, woulda made a good video and a sweet upgrade

 

I tried the dirtbike thing again. Used to ride when I was little. I bought a mint yz250 with essentially a frame up rebuild. Put like 5 hours on it and reminded myself that mountain bikes are more my thing nowadays lol.

Selling this yz is more annoying than anticipated with typical Facebook marketplace “trade?” Type shit

 

How much are you selling for? I was looking for a YZ250f...then had to fix my bike. though that looks like a 2 stroke

5 hours on : full motor rebuild, transmission, oem pads and rotors, chain, suspension rebuild and upgraded to a 48 mm front fork, and is jetted.

Gotcha. unfortunately I need a pre-2022 4 stroke otherwise, thanks to the great state of CA, I can only ride on MX tracks unless it's pre-2004 (?) i believe. Can't imagine that would be too hard of a sell, assuming there's paperwork for the work done. Good luck with the sale man

 

Yea my wife doesn't want to drive near me when i ride, even if we are going to the same place. She will leave before, and then i try to play catch up
