Weird, I looked again today and they're still available. Sorry, please ignore.

I installed new LCA's and ball joints a few weeks ago, at the time UCA's were still available and am updating as I can afford. With that project almost paid off, today it looks like UCA's are discontinued on the McGeorge site, I see some are available on other sites but imagine they will follow suit. Are the only options to stay OEM press out the bushings or is there an acceptable aftermarket choice?

Should have picked them up when I saw them but you know, budget and all that. :-\

Unless you're going aftermarket to get more caster, and only because you couldn't achieve proper alignment numbers, why do you feel the need to replace your UCA?

Same with LCA. Completely unnecessary and a waste of money to replace unless your setup is rusted through or damaged physically IE bent.

My guess would be decided not to mess around with bushings. If in my part of the country.

I think i would do the same thing though i would get used ones rebuild them ( bushings Ball Joints)get all new cam bolt hardware then swap them out .

Correct, I just replaced the LCA's for the same reason and have limited time for wrenching, pressing bushings in and out would add a dreadful amount of time to the project. It's worth it to me to not have to do that.

The reason for replacing the upper bushings would be to ensure the entire front end is correct, struts are also on the list.

They're **probably** not bent, but . . . since I bought this truck in 2018 when you let go of the wheel it drifts slightly right. After an alignment they said the strut bushings were bad (known) and they couldn't get the caster to perfect spec for that reason. I want to eliminate every other possibility before committing to a new steering rack. :-\

    Coil overs not struts!

Then you might have a Custom suspension.

Yeah I know. :-D The quote from the alignment guy was "strut bushings." Which are basically the lower shock bushings. I'm thinking I'll leave the springs alone, at least for now, and get a set of Bilstein 4600's front and back, replace the front spring dampeners, but that's a different topic. My "financial manager" is starting to raise an eyebrow at how much money I'm throwing at this thing lol
