I noticed on alibaba i can get a relatively cheap, brand new complete long block.

Has anyone tried one ? Or any toyota engine for that matter? Just wondering how they compare with genuine parts.

Mine has around 400,000 miles, burns a lot of oil and i fear doesnt have long left.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

People crash these trucks every day so there is no shortage of used parts.
I would rather put in a lower mile used engine then gamble on some Grey market item.

    I agree with this guy.
The quality of “genuine OE” products are getting pretty low these days. Can’t imagine what a Chinese knock-off would be. I’d take my chances with a used engine over a “Chinese new”.
