Yes, we are very fortunate in BC. I never take anything for granted here, it is a special place.

This place is a freaking gem. I always passed it, and never bothered until today as it’s a hike in only. Pictures don’t do justice.

Hope all are well. I took a rock off the nose at about 70mph. I tried filling and buffing - no luck. Decided to give the rig a “Clark Gable “.
    $90 “Mustache “ vs $1000 paint job -I’m sold.
    See any resemblance??

They can help. Mine sits up on an angle so it is raised about an inch above the hood. You can see that in this photo.

Last summer at 60mph on the Coquihalla highway here, I had a one inch rock hit my deflector on the driver side and I watched it whiz like a bullet up over the roof. Freaky, I thought it was going to hit the windshield right at eye level. If I had blinked I would not have seen it.

I put my deflector on for the same reason after a rock chipped a large piece off the front of the hood.

Had a deflector on my 2nd gen, rock hit it and the deflector shattered. No longer bother with one.

Superstition Mountains, headed towards Roger's Trough and Woodbury trailheads.

Last time I tried this the these two water crossings were too fast and too high (or so it seemed) for me to risk crossing. Today, no sweat because I can see how deep they are. The picture with the truck in it caught a more experienced guy with his manual locker truck in the deeper faster water.

    172Crossing.jpg 1904Crossing.jpg

Route 172, mostly flat like this or rolling hills ...

    172Straight.jpg 172Rolling.jpg 172SingleTrack.jpg

This part stopped me. I guess too much adrenaline from previous 4 miles of singletrack to take on more singletrack at cliff-edge, plus it was an easy turnaround point.

    172StopPoint.jpg

Route 1904, sandy wide wash, bumpy ...

    1904Bumpy.jpg

For grins and giggles I dropped into 2WD on this sandy stretch ... that can only end well ...

All around the Huachucas today, first time in a few months due to a number of reasons. Good to be back on trails with my son again.

    Mom always hated going fishing.

Small lake about an hour from home, last 2 km are a bit rough that most who visit hike or quad.

Nice! Any fish yet, or too early still?

Hey, your third photo with the valley below.

That reminds me of the view looking east into the valley below at Little Fort. When heading SE down from the Thuya lakes area. I fished that area a few years ago, there are 26 hike in lakes at Thuya lakes. I was the only person in that area on that trip and I hiked into 3 lakes over 3 days. A beautiful spot. The view here I mentioned that looks similar to your spot.
