Strange ticking sound coming from fan

    It comes and goes. It originates from the housing behind the AC controls.
    What is it? A mixing door which needs lubrication?
    It reminds me of my AC at home which makes a sound after a while when it is on swing mode.

    The blend door actuator could be broken or on its way to breaking. Sometimes they break from age, sometimes because something is blocking the blend door from swinging.

    Pretty sure you can pull the actuator off without pulling the whole hvac box. With the actuator removed try turning the hinge and see if it has full range of movment
