So I brought a tape measure with me to my oil change at the Toyota dealership to measure stock heights.

Tacomas front ends tended to average around 20.5 inches center of the hub to bottom of the fender. There was some variance by about half an inch up and down (20-21 inches). The rears were fairly consistent around 22.25-22.5 inches.

Might not be valuable information to you, but OP just answered plenty of people's questions with this thread. Many lift their trucks and never take pre-lift measurements, so they have no idea how much their lift actually yielded. Now they have a stock average reference point to make a very educated guess.

Passenger side or driver side? The passenger side tends to be about 0.5-1” higher

Ya traditional tacoma lean was in place. Passenger side typically half an inch higher

Lol ya I lifted my tacoma after years of overloading it with over-landing equipment. So my starting numbers were lower than stock and confused the heck out of me. I currently sit 23 inches in front center hub to fender and I’m happy with that now. It’s a 2-3 inch lift so that works.

Ok, but are your numbers for the passenger side or the drivers side?

Oh sorry I was measuring both sides. They varied between 20-21 inches. Measured about 5 Tacomas.

As someone who recently lifted and didn’t measure, I’m pretty grateful for this info. Thanks op

I forgot to take pre-measurements as well, but there have been a few people that posted their results over years and they align relatively well with the OPs measurements. Thank you, OP.

I think a majority of people buy a kit that ls labeled 2” or 3” lift and assume that is how much lift they have.

I have come to believe that measuring one’s remaining down travel is actually more important.

I never took pre or post-lift measurements. I've seen similar #'s floating around, and considering these are on par, I may just grab a measurement for shits and giggs

I measured 2 sports and 1 OR. Sports were 20.5” in front and OR was 21”

I did a 2” lift but it sagged a 1/4” because of added weight. Currently I’m
Sitting at 22 1/4” at the front.

I measured my OR before lift and had 20 1/2 front and right under 23 in the rear.

Where did I say it wasn’t valuable? Some of you guys really need to switch to decaf and realize not every comment is an attack.

Calm the crap down dude. Guess I’ve lifted 16 or 17 trucks over the last 38 years. I know exactly what the OP’s post was about.
