Replacing cracked oil filter housing .

I KNOW 100% when I replaced it in Oct’22. O ring was in the correct groove, lubed with oil and torqued to spec.

Removing witb the OEM tool: short 3/8” breaker bar = nope. 27mm socket and little 220 ft/lb 18v Hitachi impact = nope. 24” 1/2” breaker bar = cracked housing w/ hole .

Thanks to @McPickle, I was able to score these 2022 OEM LED headlights on FBMP for a great price. Three hour roundtrip drive, but worth it. Thanks again my friend!

Got them installed with a minimum of swearing (why oh why did Toyota engineers think hiding a single headlight mounting bolt under the front bumper cover was a good idea?! o_O ). Thank goodness for YT DIY videos!

Used @daveeasa's LED harness which worked perfectly.

Took my time, didn't want to break anything and about an hour and a half later, ta-dah! Marked the aim for the originals on the wall and the new ones are exactly the same. Phew!

Will probably put my OEMs up for sale (perfect condition).

    Love 'em! :woot:

I've got some garage envy happening again. Where's all the kid &%* and dirt?

Getting older is one thing I haven't had to work at. My wife wants to keep some of the little kid 'stuff' and the 'big kids' bring boxes back because it doesn't fit in their apartments. But I have a rule: my truck goes in the garage. I'll help anytime to get another car in but no one else is that motivated. My logical brain wonders why we keep boxes of things with little value inside, and the car that does have value outside. Well, we also keep the garbage inside but that's to keep the bears and mountain lions away.

Had those in my Chevy and they are way better than the hard plastic weathertech in my opinion. I still have the Toyota weather mats currently. They do seem similar to the husky.

Swapped exhaust to a Borla catback yesterday. A bit quiet, but a good deep tone.

Just an f.y.i., they still include a hat.

This fakie fake is bad enough to admit to. I cancelled my Victory 4x4 skid in favor of the plastic Off Road skid being I got some good deals on some of the stuff needed and I don’t wheel the likes of the Miller-Jeep Trail. I used the refund to get some black Sumos. Which by the way are not as harsh a ride as some heads point them out to be.

I’d rather have it that not. I remember being shocked when I initially saw the gas tank as a SR5 owner for the first time. Whaaaaaat?

    Stock Appearing Taco:thumbsup:
