Had the clutch replaced by a third party. 2 weeks later got the throw out bearing squeaks. Third party sad it wasn't went to a dealer they said that it was. Third party replaced all the clutch parts with new parts free of charge. They said they had to get wiring for the back up camera cause during install they broke it. In the picture is the right side of the transmission and or clutch there are two wires hanging off I'm just making sure what they're telling me is true. And yes back up camera does not work

No pic attached, but I’m going to guess that two wires dangling are the backup light switch which are used to trigger the camera to turn on.

That's the reverse switch. It triggers your reverse lights as well.

    Quick test:
Turn the key on but do not start the truck.
    Put it in reverse
Go see if your reverse lights are on.
    Report back.

My backup lights recently stopped working and also can't backup boat trailer. Been trying to troubleshoot. I can't see anything obvious like torn wires. How difficult is it to remove/replace this reverse switch?

I can’t advise on your truck, but I’m guessing you can’t back up your boat trailer because it has surge brakes (5 pin round electrical connector). The 5th wire in that connector triggers a solenoid in the trailer hitch which locks the surge brake piston when the reverse light goes on so you can back up the trailer without pushing the piston and locking the brakes.

If your reverse lights don’t go on (no power) the solenoid doesn’t trigger and you won’t be able to reverse the trailer easily because the wheels will be locked.

Easy quick fix is there is typically a manual lockout hole on the side of the hitch. Stick a screwdriver or even the hitch locking pin in there to manually lock out the piston.

If the hole seems blocked, try pulling the trailer forward a bit. The piston might be partially collapsed from your previous attempts to back it up.

This exactly! I bought one of those magnetic manual lockout tabs as an emergency. But not sustainable solution so trying to figure out which part of the system is broken.

It's just a plain plunger-type switch that threads into the side of the transmission.

    https://www.ttguide.net/back_up_light_switch-1360.html

You can remove it and check continuity to make sure it is opening and closing the contacts as it should.

    Duly noted.

I just went through the actual shop manual procedures... lo and behold, the 7.5amp fuse inside the cab is blown! Just ordered a couple packs of Bussman spares since the fusebox doesn't have a spare 7.5.
