    Greetings!

I'm searching for a set of either new take-off OR or Sport wheels/tires for my new '23 SR5. Seems most folks raid them for the TPMS instead of buying new TPMS for their new wheels. Just about every set I've seen has the tires mounted and inflated. Is it a simple matter of deflating the tire, breaking the bead, and installing TPMS, or does the tire have to come off completely?

    Thanks!

Everyone does it that way because of the asinine TPMS system Toyota used. It's not like every other manufacturer where you throw a new sensor of the correct frequency in and the car figures it out. Each sensor ID has to be manually programmed into the vehicle.

And yes, it is that simple. No need to take the tire completely off.

I bought a set of TRD of road rims and tires that were like new because I didn't air down on rocky trail on my original set. They were balanced no TPMS so I got a bottle jack put the tier under my truck and broke the front bead and gave me enough room to remove them and thin do the same to replace it work for me don't break both because I figure it would throw off the balance

They are programe with a indavisul serial number and I thinking you can only have 4 programed at a time to a individual truck

Yes, as far as getting the TPMS sensor installed in the wheel that's all you have to do and I've done it that way with no problems.

Tire store charged me $10/tire to install new sensors and program them when I was not buying new tires at that time. There was no charge the times I've brought new sensors with me when buying new tires.

New sensors are about $60 for 4 on Amazon. I've used them on 3 vehicles with no issues.

I have a set off my 2022 TRD Sport rims that I took off with 9,xxx miles on them. No curb rash, perfect shape if interested. No TPMS included tho, I'm using those in my new rims.
