Is it normal for the idle to be pretty lumpy with the a/c on? I can feel a little extra vibration, but the tach doesn’t seem to move.
Maybe it is just part of the 3.5 V6

This is on a new ‘23 TRD PRO for reference

Seems pretty standard with most Tacomas nowadays, and it seems to have a lot of valve clatter too at idle as well. Wondering if adding a touch more oil would help reduce the clatter.

The D4-S system is noisy. The A/C cycling on and off add to the noise. The 3.5 sounds like a diesel at times.

Luxury brands like Mercedes developed variable displacement compressors to eliminate the rpm changes of a clutch cycling on and off
