Went to get an alignment on my 2018 Tacoma Off-road DCSB, and I run 285/70/R17's. I went to pick it up and the shop said it would come into alignment to save its life. Anyone have this issue, or is it a steering component issue?

May be check another shop or have them re do it. Unless you have a lift tires alone do zero to impact your suspension geometry. What part of your alignment was out. That might provide a hint as to the potential issue

Basically everything was out of alignment, and I forgot to add that I have a 1 inch coil spacer in the front just to raise it up enough to not nose dive.

Alignments are the vehicle hubs, not the wheels/tires.

The problem isn't the tires. And the shop should be able to tell you exactly why they can't make the numbers.

If everything is out something is either wrong with their equipment, or you have significantly screwed something up. It would be more than steering. Usually steering is screwed up Toe. A one inch spacer might change castor and camber a bit, but not much. I would honestly get a second opinion as it possible their tech has no clue how to adjust your control arms. How are your tires wearing? If not bad then the shop has no clue what they are doing

Find a shop that gives a crap and actually knows what they are doing. However don't expect it to be an $89.95 alignment. Or to take 30 minutes. I'm nearly 50 and have lifted pretty much every truck I have ever owned. And lowered just about every car too. But I build custom cars for a living. Mostly domestic stuff. We do alignments on our regular hourly rate and it takes what it takes. Aligning a full custom car with all new aftermarket suspension? Sometimes it takes me 2 hours sometimes it takes all day. Depends on the car. Aligning my current Tacoma with aftermarket upper arms and about 2" of lift took me about 2 hours. But it's got lots of caster and drives better than stock. SO many alignment "techs" are only told to adjust toe settings. Because on a lot of cars that is all that can be adjusted. You have to have a good understanding of camber and caster to make adjustments that will actually help the handling. The machine showing green isn't always what's best.
