    Hello all-
My Tacoma gas gauge always seems to read inaccurately towards empty or full. Is this just mine or do other have this same issue. I am not what it would take to fix it.

Not a great pic on the low side. On the full side that was when the pump stopped no extra was added.

    You're overthinking it.

Full is full, can't add any more fuel. Gas gauges on vehicles have been reading past F when completely full since the beginning of time.

On the other side, when approaching empty, the light comes on when you've still got a few gallons left. Theoretically you could keep driving until you're down to the last drop, the needle would be a complete mirror opposite of full (outside the E mark) and the tank would be bone dry. But you wouldn't do that because the engine would stall and you'd be walking. Why would they wait until the very end to turn the low fuel light on? The whole point is that it comes on when there's a few gallons left

Nothing is broken, just drive the truck

As long as you still get 20+ miles after the yellow light comes on, then don't worry about it. There is no issue.

The only time there is an issue is if the car dies at 1/4 tank. Which was normal on my 94 Pontiac firebird formula (V8 6 speed). I found out the hard way 1/4 tank meant zero fuel.
