I've never had a car under warranty before until this Tacoma. Regarding doing self oil changes, that is fine as long as I use the proper "grade" oil and appropriate filter or do I HAVE to use the toyota stuff? Id rather use mobil 1 and Ill keep receipts/notes.

Just keep the receipts...by law a manufacturer cannot require use of their product or service center

Recently replaced my sons totalled car and dealership tried to convince is that oil changes needed to be done by "certified techs" in order for the CPO warranty to be honored. My argument was that they are not paying certified techs to do oil changes. Those guys are diagnosing real problems. Its the kid they are paying minimum wage to do oil changes. I called BS.

Good morning CT. Happy almost weekend.
Ordered a compressor switch from https://www.ch4x4.com/
It will go in my 6 switch panel in the center console. The relay and fuse holder came in so I can start making the compressor harness.
I hope to get a lot done like last weekend even though Saturday shows an occasional shower.

Though I'd guess the price of that is at least double what I paid for all three of ours combined

Put in a nutsert so I can install the relay for the compressor. Another one on the driver side for the fuse holder.

    Happy Friday!

Started making up the harness for the compressor. I need to figure out the length of the wire for the switch, get a couple terminals for the pressure switch and start wiring it up.
I need to get shorter screws for the GMRS mount. They hit the radio and it can't slide in the bracket, I'll do that on lunch today. Saturday looks like rain all day so I'll try and get most of this done today and Sunday.

I just looked at the photos of the 2024 Tacoma interior. Woof! I am so glad I have a 3rd gen. Personally I hate the large infotainment screens, especially when they aren't integrated into the dash and stick out like a sore thumb.

I have a feeling it will grow on me, like the third gen did. 2.5 gen still best gen.

    And Happy Friday everyone!

I just prefer a simple interior, but its just me. My 1992 miata is perfection in my eyes now after I added the double din and relocated my extra gauges to my glovebox.

I have to disagree. One reason why I don’t like the 3rd gen is the dash. I like a symmetrical dash.

I definitely put a lot of thought into the interior since ya know, that is what we see most of all. I just need to do new door cards and pull handles, but I have been crazy slacking on that.

Work is killing me! (slow slow slow slow). I am still new to this organization and there isn't a whole lot going on ATM to train me with, so I am just reviewing what I can and twiddling my thumbs. Cell service is nearly non existent too so I can't even goof off with youtube at my desk!
